JOBS – Where are they at?

The lack of employment opportunities have had a devastating impact on African-American families.  How can a man be the head of a house or participate jointly in providing financially for his family if he is unemployed?  75% of African-American children are living in single-parent households with majority of the households being female headed. 3.  Our communities have been devastated by unemployment, incarceration, drugs, lack of adequate educational and informational resources and fatherless households.
If you believe people do not work because they do not want to work give me a list of job openings and I’ll match those openings with qualified applicants; if they qualify you must ensure they are hired.  If they don’t want to work than you can prove me wrong.  But if they have the opportunity and work than I will right.  My email address is melodieshuler@yahoo.com – prove me wrong.

Politicians and their Promises Seldom are Fulfilled but the Status Quo Stays the Same and Poor African-American Communities Remain

What can be done to make those who are voiceless in our communities be heard?  It was Malcolm X who made popular the quote "without struggle there is no progress."  I have always interpreted this to mean that without a challenge to the conditions that have enslaved us, disenfranchised us and denied us equal opportunity we will remain in the same conditions.   When are we going to get over the marginal benefits we gained from the civil rights movement and realize that NOW IS THE TIME to write our own stories to change the course of history!  Operation Impact exists to capacity build existing humanitarian projects in the Metropolitan Area through seeking to meet expressed needs and offer relevant assistance to afflicted communities and people groups.
